Large conventional drilling rigs often cannot reach these very wild and remote places and even if they could – compressed air drilling is not a suitable methodology in the alluvial, unstable substrates. Conventional rigs often suffer expensive and disappointing failures in these areas but this is where we are at our most effective with our manoeuvrability, technical skill, experience and the right rig for the conditions.
